Sumár projektu:The project 'Young Farmers Mobility in New Trends in Greenhouse Production' is a KA1 project within the action Mobility of learners and staff, action type VET learners and staff mobility. The sending organisation is SOŠ VETERINÁRNA, Nitra, Slovakia, and the receiving organisation is HELLENIC AGRICULTURAL ORGANIZATION - DEMETER, Kyparissia, Greece. The cooperation between the two organisations was negotiated at the contact joint seminar on work-based learning in Berlin, Germany, in December 2014, where the basic conditions were set. The main objective of the project is to contribute to the modernisation of vocational education in the region by introducing new methods of greenhouse production to the participants of the mobility who will disseminate them further. The target group of the project are 20 students from the sending organisation that study agribusiness- farming, because they have obtained theoretical background about the methods of agricultural production and passed their individual professional practice in the school's training centres specializing in plant production. The project anticipates learning outcomes for the participants on three different levels: on theoretical level, the participants will learn the basic methods of greenhouse production, the most common cultivates, substrates, fertilisers, plant diseases and principles of hydroponics. On practical level, they will be able to cultivate basic types of vegetables grown in greenhouses, treat the substrate with fertilisers and cure the most common diseases of greenhouse plants. On the level of experiences, they will be able to apply the above mentioned competences in their own agriculture practice and become more relevant for the labour market. The learning outcomes will be reached in three phases of the project implementation: 15 hours of theoretical training by agronomists of the receiving organisation are planned, as well as 20 hours of technical visits to the greenhouses based on observation and 15 hours of practical training in greenhouses. To make the results of the project more relevant, issuing Europass-mobility documents for the participants is envisaged. The results of the project will be disseminated on various levels. On the level of organisation, target group for dissemination activities will be school staff and students and outside the organisation, the results of the project will be disseminated to future students, parents, professionals in agriculture sector and the public. If approved, the project will introduce new methods of non-formal learning into the vocational education, promote the sending and the receiving institution internationally and contribute to the development of agriculture in the region. In case of successful cooperation between the organisations, further cooperation is envisaged for the future.
